Japanese Ghost Stories Anime

The first season premiered on TV Tokyo on July 14, 2013, and ran for thirteen episodes until September 29, 2013; it spawned a host of merchandise and a mobile game while also receiving mixed reactions at the end of its broadcast. A second season aired from July 6, 2014, to September 28, 2014, and was directed by both Takashi Shimizu and Noboru Iguchi along with scripts written by Shōichirō Masumoto. The third season aired between January 11, 2016, and April 3, 2016. A fourth season aired beetween January 16, 2017 and March 26, 2017.

Ghost Stories ( 学校の怪談 , Gakkō no Kaidan ? , lit. "School Ghost Stories") , also known as Ghosts at School , is a 20-episode anime series created in 2000 by animation studio Pierrot and Aniplex for Fuji Television , based on a book series by Tōru Tsunemitsu.

Step right up and gaze upon tales of horror and wonder, of urban legends and terrifying mysteries alike. From a man who suffers a mysterious accident on a business trip, to a boy who witnesses a horrifying family secret, to even a man who’s certain he’s being watched by a long-haired, creepy woman, there’s plenty of harrowing stories to be told.
